When players kill a Zed, they earn in-game money and experience points. Random weapons, ammo, and armor can be found by exploring the level, though players have a limited amount of weight they can carry. Players equip themselves with melee weapons and firearms, a healing syringe, and a welder used to block passages. The boss character is determined randomly upon the start of the last wave, and each boss is defeated differently. Enemy count is determined by the number of players in the game. As waves pass, the enemy count will increase different enemy types are introduced as players complete each wave, culminating to a boss fight as the final wave. Gameplay consists of players fighting through waves of zombie-like specimens, known as 'Zeds'. In Killing Floor 2, taking place a month after the first game, the outbreak has spread beyond Europe, causing governments to collapse and communication systems to fail. The clones have now rapidly spread across Europe, paralyzing the response from the European Union. The game is based on events from Killing Floor, in which bio-tech firm Horzine attempted to create military clones and was hijacked by an insane researcher who unleashed the clones across the UK. Killing Floor 2 is a first-person shooter video game that can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. I thought the crossbow kicked ass whenever I picked it up off a dead teammate. The player running into a group of Bloats

I'm sure its better if you're a demo guy. Its blast radius seems massive but its damage to enemies is anemic. I like the shotguns but the single shot grenade launcher stinks. You have to pick the direction with the least amount/weakest enemies flooding and try to punch an escape route. When an area becomes overrun cornering up and trying to kill them all is suicide. I used to play the old one which didn't have classes, but things are the same. It's slow going kiting fleshpounds and scavenging for ammo though. I still have to try the other classes, but the medics speed boost has kept me alive as the sole survivor quite a few times.

After that I usually buy a shotgun, then upgrade to hunting then grab the combat shotgun for the final waves and boss. The MP5 certainly isn't a ass whooping weapon either but at least it can effectively take down sirens and husks while still allowing you to heal long range. The early waves are crap on Normal anyway, they can generally be dealt with using a pistol. I'll just buy a level action or pick up whatever I can find on the ground until I can afford the MP5. I have level 2 sharpshooter and level 2 demo just from rifle, pistol and grenade use. I just have a medic up to level 4, but you seem to level the other classes as well as long as you use their weapon types. When you get into group dynamics of Firebug lighting the FP on fire, sharpshooter stunning him, zerker slicin and dicin, and medic popping heals while commando and support keep all the other trash mobs at bay. Each class has a group role and an individual role in gameplay to be effective past Hard level. I suggest reading up on scrakes, FPs, etc and which class does what and also how firebugs and demo men can screw up the sharpshooter or support guy that's taking down units, and also how they can be helpful.

then you better know the map, know where to hold up at, know which doors to keep welded, where the trader spawns at, know what you can kill and what a different class should kill, know how to kite 2-3 flesh pounders, etc. Make the jump to hell on earth, suicide, etc.

The jump to hard will be a wipe without a rounded group with people over lvl 3. Normal can be done with any PUG over lvl 3 with sometimes wiping at the end, or in the later waves if you're not teamplaying well. Haven't played it in a while but I might have to hop on so I can get the Bad Santa skin.Įven Hard can be hard if you've got an inexperienced team, or don't know the maps very well.

You get a blast bonus but it's limited to 6 pipes or something now. 2nd best is a boatload of pipes but in a trail. Surround him and he won't be able to run away.

LAW will stun them as demo.Įasiest way to kill the Patriarch is a full squad of chainsaws. Zerker can stun them with an axe to the back of the head from a certain angle. Sharpshooter can stun scrakes with a crossbow. Berserker, Sharp, maybe support can kill class type effectively but the others are pretty weak against certain ones. When you self heal you use 100% syringe points but team healing is 50% so you can heal someone faster than they can heal themself.Īlso there's certain classes you should avoid shooting if you're a particular class. Most important thing to remember when playing this is to heal your teammates and not self heal unless needed.
